HISTORY

Reliable Builders, Inc. was founded by Mr. Jong. K. Kim, CEO/President, in 1974. After the island was devastated by Typhoon Pamela in 1976, RBI's primary focus was on assisting the island by accommodating the high demands for building and repairs of residential houses, mostly financed by the Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA). Nearly 65 houses were completed within a 7 year period.

Through the 1980's and 1990's, RBI performed various housing projects for the Government of Guam and also was involved in the development of condominiums, hotels, business establishments, and residential houses for the private sector. RBI further expanded its services in 1991 by competitively bidding on military projects for the United States Navy and Air Force on Guam.
